Thanks to the folks in the writer’s group for your support! Here is the same series that started out in Spanish, now morphed into English. It is not an exact translation.
She stops on her journey
for water from the brook
she is the stream
A spider in its web
inside the backpack
Of a mountain climber
The perfume
of an orchid in bloom
eternity in a second
It is raining in the city
drops in the puddle
my tear, just another drop
A wave breaks on the shore
foam at my feet
I inhale with the sea
Death arrives inevitably
though somehow unexpected
a moth crackles as it hits the light
The horizon is far away
the end approaches
I am the journey
He sits at the side of the road
To meditate on his confusion
He understands when he stops thinking
A twig falls from the tree
a dove swoops down and takes it back
to the nest on the branch
